Group Coaching: Building a LinkedIn Profile for Humanities,
Social Science, and STEM PhDs
Your LinkedIn profile might be the first impression a non-academic employer has of you.
So how do you ensure you put your best foot forward in this online space?
And where do you even start? What’s a “headline”?
Does your profile scream “academic” without conveying what professional skills you have?
If you’ve thought about any of these concerns, you’re already on the right track.
You want a LinkedIn profile that will grab employers’ attention and clearly convey your skills for post-academic jobs. And yes, it will take some initial time and energy to create a profile with impact.
Join founder L. Maren Wood, PhD in workshops where you will learn strategies to effectively communicate your skills and competencies to non-academic employers.
In this workshop, participants will learn to:
- understand the purposes of the different components of a LinkedIn user profile;
- effectively communicate your transition story to non-academic employers;
- translate your academic work experience into the language non-academic employers.
Workshops are limited to 9 participants each. Participants will have the chance to ask questions, strategize, and work through specific concerns with their LinkedIn profiles.
